Cool Stuff- Off The Wall- Video Games

The last couple days I’ve been playing with the Dungeons & Dragons Tiny Adventures Facebook Ap. Yes, I am a D&D geek and actually wept whenGary Gygax passed away.

The D&D Tiny Adventures a VERY scaled down version of Dungeons & Dragons. This appears to be an officially licensed application by Wizards Of The Coast. I haven’t picked up my D20 in several years, but when I was invited to play this game, I thought I’d check it out.

I am enjoying it very much. It’s a turn based application and the only annoying feature of the game is you have to wait several minutes before you can take your next turn.

In the game you get to pick from a hand-full of already created characters. I chose the “Dragon Born Fighter”… Trying to be clever I named him “Nogard Nrob Canman”. Once you have your character you can then select from a few adventures. Currently Nogard is in the middle of the “Tombs of Terror” adventure.

As you make your way thru the text based game, you find treasure and fight creatures and such from the game. It’s all done for you. It really seems more like a “twist a plot book”, than anything super engaging.

After you find your treasures, you can then choose to keep them in your inventory or sell them in the shop. In the shop you can purchase things like potions, weapons, armor… basically normal D&D stuff.

If you are or were into D&D and are on Facebook, check it out. –Canman
