Let’s start out this review by saying, usually I don’t go for the 1st person style of shooters.. It’s just not my type of game, which is why I’m not going to be buying Resistance 2.

That being said, I was intrigued by this as I was talking to a customer of my 2nd job (Wal*Mart) when they informed me that it wasn’t just FPS, it was also some RPG elements mixed in there.  I have to confess that I have not played Fallout or Fallout 2.  But I decided to pick this one up, and not only that I decided to pick up the Limited Special Edition.

The SE package that I got was really neat.  It had a sweet metal lunch box, a Neat Bobble head Doll of Vault Boy, a “Art of Fallout 3” and a behind the scenes DVD.  I plan on putting most of that up in my cubicle at work.. Yeah.. I’m a geek.

So I’ve started playing the game, I like how the interaction is in the game, it reminds me a lot of how Mass Effect plays, which I like.

The game has surprised me so far with the story line and how big the world is.. The one thing I have found is that it’s VERY hard to have enough ammo.  I’m still in the early stages of the game, but I found that I use my nightstick much more than my 10mm gun.

All in all this is a pretty good game and I would recommend it to people that like this style of game.  I plan on trying to finish it, as I have a lot of other games that I currently have in various stages.

On my weird rating system, I’d give this 4.5 out of 5. – Norman
