I travel on interstate\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I-380 from Cedar Rapids to North Liberty daily.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Over the last month I’ve noticed a string of web cam’s be installed.\u00c2\u00a0 Traveling south from Cedar Rapids the start at the Highway 30 bridge and continue all the way down to North Liberty.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I’ve counted more than 10 of them.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Each camera has line of site of the next one.<\/p>\n

This concerns me a little.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Did anyone even know they were there?\u00c2\u00a0 or that they were being put up?\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I realize in today’s world with almost everyone having a camera in pocket and our addiction to social networks, that we have little or no privacy.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Even with all these intrusions, I’ve never had the uneasy feeling that “big brother” is watching.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I’m starting to get that “feeling” now.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

I do see both sides of the coin.\u00c2\u00a0 This could be good as it would improve safety in the corridor.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It could also be a major privacy concern.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
