This month starts the kick off for items being released and prices being dropped “just in time for Christmas.”\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 All the summer blockbusters, the anticipated video games, the price drops seem to happen this time of year.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Here are some that I’m looking forward to.<\/p>\n
Microsoft has announced that they are dropping their X-Box 360 console prices by $50.00 across the board.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 So\u00c2\u00a0for\u00c2\u00a0$199.00,\u00c2\u00a0you’ll be able to pick up their bare bones “Arcade”\u00c2\u00a0model for less than the price of the WII ($249.00).\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I personally would not pick up the Arcade Model as it does not include the hard drive which significantly reduces the functionality of the device.<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I do recommend spending the extra cash ($299.00 to $349.00)\u00c2\u00a0on the “Pro” model.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It has everything you need to appreciate the functionality of the device.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n To go with the X-Box 360 there are quite a few games being released.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 On the list of games that I would like to get are:<\/p>\n Star Wars: The Force Unleashed- <\/a>This game looks pretty awesome.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve played the demo and enjoyed it.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ll be picking it up when it’s released on September 16th.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour-\u00c2\u00a0 In my\u00c2\u00a0opinion these are pretty much the same game.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 These are the games getting credit for “saving the music industry”.\u00c2\u00a0 I enjoy both franchises but to me the subtle differences in the games are not enough to distinguish one franchise from the other.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements in the Rock Band drum peripheral and the differences in Guitar Hero’s version.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I’m sure I’ll be satisfied either way.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 According to Amazon.com Guitar Hero\u00c2\u00a0World Tour\u00c2\u00a0Band Kit<\/a>for the Xbox 360\u00c2\u00a0will be availible on October 26th 2008 and will retail for $189.99.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Amazon.com has\u00c2\u00a0two different release dated posted for Rock\u00c2\u00a0Band 2 for XBOX 360, Game only\u00c2\u00a0 $59.99 released on September 14th <\/a>and Special Edition (with the instruments) $189.99 released on October 19th 2008<\/a>.<\/p>\n I am a movie lover and am looking forward to picking up quite a few of\u00c2\u00a0this season’s biggest movies.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Below is a list of the release dates to the movies I’m adding to my collection.<\/p>\n Iron Man<\/a>– September 30th<\/p>\n Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls<\/a>– October 14th<\/p>\n The Incredible Hulk<\/a>-October 21st<\/p>\n Wall-E<\/a>– November 18th<\/p>\n Horton Hears a Who<\/a>– December 9th<\/p>\n Batman: The Dark Knight <\/a>– not confirmed, December 9th<\/p>\n
