Washapalooza is this weekend!\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Washapalooza is a music festival showcasing several\u00c2\u00a0bands from throughout the corridor (including one of my fav’s Junk Funk<\/a>!).\u00c2\u00a0 All the money from ticket sales will be donated to Theatre Cedar Rapids <\/span><\/a>for flood Recovery.\u00c2\u00a0 Anyone and everyone in the community is welcome to come out and enjoy the show.\u00c2\u00a0 The show is on Saturday October 4th, 2008 2-7pm in the Washington High School Courtyard<\/span><\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Tickets will be 5$ at the door and once you leave you can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t return.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 For more info contact\u00c2\u00a0Washapalooza’s organizer Abby by e-mailing her at arings9@aol.com<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I love music, I really love Soul, R&B and Blues.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I found one of the most amazing collections of Soul, R&B and Blues singles ever,\u00c2\u00a0 The Complete Stax-Volt Singles 1959-1968.<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 This collection has so many of my favorite artists that I couldn’t begin to list them all.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 But to name a few, Otis Redding<\/a>, Booker T and the MGs<\/a>,\u00c2\u00a0 Sam & Dave <\/a>and the Bar-Kays <\/a>are in there.\u00c2\u00a0 If you’re looking for the golden age of Soul, R&B and Blues, this collection captures it.<\/p>\n
